Importance

Safety is our #1 Priority. We believe that ALL injuries are preventable and are not just an expected outcome of providing construction services, that the safety of client and company employees is of utmost importance and that there is no job so important and so urgent that it should keep us from taking time to perform work safely.

Training

Standard Contracting field supervisors receive comprehensive and on-going safety training including OSHA 10-Hour and 30-Hour safety and health hazard recognition and prevention classes. All employees receive SCE’s New-Employee Safety Orientation and on-going training in areas such as fall protection, confined space, excavation and trenching, lock-out/tag-out, Hazwoper, substance abuse awareness, silica awareness, and numerous other training fields. We require job site specific safety reviews utilizing hazard-recognition and elimination planning, “tool box” talks and daily safety “huddles”.

Because of its long-term commitment to maintaining safe work environments, SCE enjoys an impressive safety record and is able to meet even the most stringent client safety requirements in the most challenging faculties. The Company subscribes to ISNetworld for comprehensive, ongoing safety compliance and verification We are also enrolled in the State of Ohio Drug Free Safety Program (advanced).

The safety of our employees is our most important focus and ‘zero’ injuries, our highest goal.
